There's nothing wrong structurally with this guitar and it really sounds amazing. This is likely from the indentation in the binding on the back of the neck joint (pictured). It is a factory second, as indicated by the 'USED' stamp on the back of the headstock. There was also a master volume pot added. The second tone pot works for both the middle pickup and the bridge pickup. It had a middle pickup added with its own volume pot. Also as the name suggests, it is based on the Casino that made such an impact in the mid 60s, with the likes of The Kinks, The Beach Boys, the. Everything on the instrument is of amazing quality and great care has gone into the production of it. The original owner was a Gibson employee, with the mods being done at Gibson. The Epiphone Elitist 1965 Casino is exactly what it says a real classy, top end Epiphone guitar. It comes with its original hard shell case, which is in excellent condition. It weighed in at just 5.9lb, which made it easily one of the lightest electric guitars we’ve ever tested. The most notable thing about this guitar was the weight, or lack thereof. It has a nut width of 1.74', a 23.5' scale length, and it weighs 7 pounds, 7 ounces. We spent quite some time getting to know the Casino Coupe, and we were overall very happy. It's armed with a Spruce top, Flamed Maple back/sides, 3-piece Maple neck, and an Ebony fingerboard/bridge.
